Wilton Becomes Third Woman To Lead The Organization Since The Amalgamation Of The BCGA & BCLGA
Delta, BC - April 9, 2024 - British Columbia Golf, BC's Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) for golf, is pleased to announce the election of their newest president, Shauna Wilton. Wilton was officially elected by the BC Golf Board on April 6th and succeeds Greg Moody, who will remain on the board as past president.
Wilton, the third woman to hold the position of president with the Association since the amalgamation of the BCGA and the BCLGA in 2004 said, "It’s an honour to work alongside the board, staff and volunteers to positively influence the sport I love so much."
A lifelong participant in sport and an avid recreational golfer, Wilton brings a wealth of related professional experience to her new position.
Wilton is currently the VP of Event Operations at Vancouver's PNE. Most recently to that, she spent two years as a partner at Cascadia Strategy, a management consulting firm, and six years in senior managerial roles at the Vancouver Park Board and City of Vancouver.
Wilton has 15 years of board experience at the local and national level and has been a volunteer acting as a starter and scoring official for BC and Golf Canada events as well as being an Olympic and Paralympic Games volunteer during the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games.
