CRVA holds Board Meetings and AGM in Halifax

The Canadian RV Association (CRVA) concluded highly productive Board Meetings today in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The two-day event brought together key industry stakeholders, including delegates from the RV Dealers Association of Canada (RVDA of Canada), the Atlantic RVDA , Go RVing Canada, and the Canadian Camping and RV Council (CCRVC), in a collaborative effort to address current challenges and help shape the future of the Canadian RV industry.

CRVA welcomed RVDA of Canada’s President Eleonore Hamm and Chair Josée Bédard, Go RVing Canada’s President Chris Mahony and Canadian Camping and RV Council’s President Cara Csizmadia and Chair Ellie Abucay Giammattolo along with several current and past members of the Atlantic RVDA to Halifax.

During the Board Meetings, attendees engaged in discussions on a range of topics, including market trends, industry challenges, and how we can better cater to today’s RV consumers.

The delegates actively participated in an open session, sharing each Associations expertise and insights to develop comprehensive approaches that will help shape the future of the RV industry in Canada.

The CRVA welcomed newly appointed board member Frédéric Delwiche, President & Owner of Prolite Roulottes/Trailers, who celebrated his birthday at dinner, after the meeting.

“Hosting our Board Meeting and AGM in Halifax was a great opportunity to bring together our Members and CRVA’s partners in such a beautiful setting and in a province where they love to RV and Camp,” said Shane Devenish, President of the CRVA. “We are incredibly grateful for the participation and commitment of our members and the invaluable contributions made by the RVDA of Canada, Go RVing Canada, and the Canadian Camping and RV Council. Their dedication and expertise further strengthen our shared mission of promoting and enhancing the RV lifestyle in Canada.”

CRVA welcomed Cara Csizmadia who was recently announced as the President of the Canadian Camping and RV Council, Canada’s National Campground Association effective June 1st taking over from Shane Devenish who had been holding dual roles as it’s Executive Director and CRVA’s President for the past 8 years.

“It was always the intention for CCRVC to have independent administration and it’s own leadership, it just took us a bit longer to make the transition than originally anticipated” said Devenish. “Our Industry is extremely fortunate to have Cara with her skillset and expertise as a former campground owner take over CCRVC and we are excited to see great things in her future”

Through its ongoing efforts, the CRVA aims to promote the growth and sustainability of the Canadian RV industry, making outdoor adventures more accessible and enjoyable for all Canadians.
