Two independent, women-founded beauty brands welcomed this year’s delegates to Miami with a taste of small-batch self-care as the Miss USA Organization marked 75 years.
As the Miss USA Organization closed out a week-long celebration of its 75th Diamond Anniversary in Miami, Florida, two independently owned beauty brands, Body Scrubs by Rebeca (BSBR) and Phoenix Glow Candles, were named Official Miss USA Swag Bag Sponsors for the 2026 Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions.
Held at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the week-long celebration brought together delegates from all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Events began with the National Costume Show on Monday, August 24, followed by the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Preliminary Competitions on Tuesday, August 25. The 44th Miss Teen USA Finals and Coronation took place Wednesday, August 26, and the 75th Miss USA Finals and Coronation concluded the Diamond celebration on Thursday, August 27. As part of the festivities, each delegate received a curated swag bag featuring products from BSBR and Phoenix Glow alongside other prominent brands.
Body Scrubs by Rebeca (BSBR)
Body Scrubs by Rebeca, a Maryland-based, woman-owned and Black-owned skincare brand founded in 2011, contributed its award-winning Milk & Collagen Facial Bar to this year's swag bags. The bar blends natural milk and collagen with BSBR's facial soap base to cleanse, hydrate and revitalize skin, staying true to the brand's founding ethos: exfoliate, hydrate, rejuvenate. Known for its handcrafted, small-batch formulas, BSBR built its following from founder Rebecca Paul's kitchen, and this sponsorship marked one of the brand's most visible platforms to date.
Phoenix Glow Candles
Founded by Krystal Glover, Phoenix Glow Candles, a Georgia-based small business, gifted each of the competition's 51 delegates a custom, signature-scented candle, individually crafted to reflect her personality, her presence, her home state and the elegance of the Miss USA stage. Hand-poured and non-toxic, each candle carried a touch of Phoenix Glow's signature Cashmere fragrance, meant to be a comfort for each delegate once she returned home, for a chance to pause and reset after a demanding week. Additionally, candles were given to VIPs, celebrity judges, and HMUA’s (hair and makeup artists). Two Miss USA contestants also received a beaded bracelet honoring their military service. The gestures reflected Glover's founding philosophy that a candle should feel less like a scent and more like a feeling.
For both Paul and Glover, the sponsorship marked a big step for brands they built from the ground up.
“Being a Miss USA Diamond Year sponsor is a huge milestone for BSBR. Sponsoring a national brand of this magnitude brings incredible visibility, credibility, and new opportunities for a small business like mine," said Rebecca Paul, Founder of Body Scrubs by Rebeca. "However, at the heart of it all is my 'why': gifting people great skin through natural products with ingredients they can pronounce. Fifteen years in, my customers are the reason I've never stopped, and this sponsorship is another way to keep showing up for them.”
“Phoenix Glow started because I wanted people to feel connected to what they were lighting, not just enjoy a pleasant aroma. Getting our candles into the hands of delegates from across the country during Miss USA’s 75th Diamond Anniversary meant a lot, and the kind of validation you cannot buy. It reminded me why I started this, and it showed me how far Phoenix Glow can go,” said Krystal Glover, Founder of Phoenix Glow Candles.
The sponsorship placed both BSBR and Phoenix Glow Candles within the Miss USA Organization's broader gifting program for its 75th Diamond Year Celebration, a landmark week that also welcomed back former titleholders, celebrities and VIP guests. For the two emerging brands, the opportunity delivered national visibility during one of the competition calendar’s most high-profile weeks.
