Straight from the chaos of Southern California’s punk rock music scene, Latex Grenade is set to unleash their sophomore full-length album, Bee Miner, a post-pandemic masterpiece that captures perfectly the essence of tone and culture emerging from such a rocky time of history. The new album consists of twelve tracks, in which the band plans to release them in a way that creates an exciting and engaging listening experience for fans. Instead of dropping the songs all at once, the band is releasing Bee Miner over the course of the next several weeks, with a new track and a corresponding music video dropping with each additional episode. Each release will also have behind the scenes footage from the song, interviews and commentary from all of the individuals who participated in the process of the album. Made for loud music lovers, mosh pit enthusiasts, rebels, or any fans of the punk rock music scene as a whole, this album will surely revive a genre that has fallen upon deaf ears in the last several years.

The first track off of the album released today is called, “Suffer,” a dark, emotional song fueled by frustration, and the desire to break free from negativity. Geoff Davis, the lead singer and guitarist quotes a statement about this track, “The song is really just about having enough- being tired of feeling unhappy. It is metaphoric really - time for society to move on and be optimistic, to look for the beauties in life over the tragedies.” Accompanied by a music video filmed inside a dimly lit warehouse, “Suffer” visually captures the emotional weight of the track, exploring inner conflict, and the feeling of losing sight of the light during life’s darkest moments. 

Latex Grenade’s current lineup consists of Geoff Davis the lead singer and guitarist, Nick Shores the bassist, and Dylan Marks the drummer. Each member is a San Diego native that developed a passion for music at a young age. Regardless of them each having their own side projects at some points in time - all of them bonded over their love for the San Diego metal/punk rock underground scene. Inspired by the legacy of the local scene that shaped them, the trio formed Latex Grenade to leave their own mark on the next generation of heavy music.

This album follows the release of the EPs: The Cage, FDR Pt. 2, and FDR Pt. 1. Most recently, they released a single called “My Former Friend.” Bee Miner, although novel in its own way, the album delivers several tracks that pay homage to Latex Grenade's core ideals- which are being outspoken about harmful domestic and foreign policies going on in the United States and the world. Latex Grenade is no foreigner to political messages in their music. This new album Bee Miner is said to have a slightly different theme to the past releases, and they want listeners to put their own interpretation on it. But in all, the band mentions how they never want any track to end on a dark note. They push the importance of optimism, and how even though things can get scary in the world, it is important to stay positive and fight for a better life that can be found.

Along with the tracks, Latex Grenade is planning to release a few exciting merch items. These items include a CD, a limited run of exclusive vinyls, and album t-shirts. Due to popular demand, the band will also be releasing a few of their iconic Burger Murder shirts from one of their most popular songs.
