As consumers, we are demanding more and more local content in our purchases. While it is easy to identify local farm goods, as Ontarians we often do not know what is manufactured right here. Ontario Made seeks to change that. Join us on our journey as we promote the very best that this province has to offer.
The program continues to evolve, and the logo pops up at stores across Ontario. Over 3,000 manufacturers are a part of the program, and over 13,000 products can be browsed via SupportOntarioMade.ca.
In partnership with Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME), the Ontario government declares the first Friday in October as Ontario Made Manufacturing Day. The day celebrates Ontario manufacturers and aims to not only attract more youth to careers in manufacturing but strengthen our supply chains.
The awards are dedicated to celebrating outstanding Ontario manufacturers and retailers that help consumers make informed decisions in increasing the sale and awareness of Ontario-made products.
Ontario Made continues to evolve, welcoming new members on a weekly basis.
During an announcement at Napoleon’s manufacturing plant in Barrie, Ontario, Ontario Made celebrated the launch of its searchable consumer database – SupportOntarioMade.ca. Consumers can browse across all kinds of product categories to find and buy locally manufacturerd goods.
Launched alongside the Ontario government – Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME’s) Ontario Made initiative is created to enable manufacturers to increase their local market sales, meet consumers’ needs, and help grow our economy.
