About Us

Carlos and Tiffani Worthy began ATAP Foundation in 2007 in response to a critical need to develop youth and equip them to become productive leaders. ATAP Foundation was created to offer life-changing, developmental programs with emphasis on academics, athletics, awareness and arts. Through any ATAP experience participants are uplifted and empowered to attain greatness.

Dr. Tiffani Worthy, CEO and Chairwoman of the Board, is an Army Veteran, and college professor. She is committed to developing others to achieve their dreams and reach their potential.

Dr. Carlos Worthy, Chief Operating Officer and New Jersey native, served over 20 years as a US Army officer and public servant with the federal government. Carlos’ commitment to empowering children and building communities culminated into bringing ATAP Foundation to life in Burlington County, New Jersey.

Team Worthy is committed to empowering the youth and enhancing the community.

    • Partnered with Willingboro Township and received funding to design and execute a six-week Summer S.T.E.A.M Program for students in grades 6-12. The township’s first S.T.E.A.M program!

    • Community trip to Harlem New York with 53 local residents ranging in age from 6-86 years old. Visited the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, Apollo Sound Stage (10 youth from our group performed with Mr. Apollo) and dined at Sylvia’s Queen of Soul Food Restaurant.
       
    • Launched an 8-week Summer Empowerment Experience for 25 youth in grades 6-12 with weekly field trips and special guest speakers to include Assembly Troy Singleton, Burlington County judicial officials, and many others.
       
    • Served over 100 students in grades K-8 Club Cool Kids and introduced them to STEAM, arts and crafts, and more on Friday nights from 6-9pm.
       
    • Launched Before & After School Care to provide intentional development opportunities to local youth. As a result, students are performing better in school, achieving honor rolls, and demonstrating improved behavior.
       
    • Awarded $2500 in scholarships.

    • Co-hosted the Willingboro Community Dinner with Assemblyman Troy Singleton to express appreciation for Willingboro residents; over 200 residents in attendance.
       
    • Active partnership with the “Making Visions Possible” (MVP) program housed at Willingboro High School; served as a facilitator for their annual fatherhood initiative.
       
    • Actively engaged in the Garfield East PTA. Donates school uniforms and snacks for students.
       
    • Selected to serve as a facilitator in a career development program at Drexel University for students in the Executive MBA program. Provided career guidance, career development, and mentorship to young women. As a result, a mentorship relationship was forged with a young lady from Ghana working towards completing her MBA.
       
    • Guest speaker to nearly 100 middle school students at Henry C. Beck Middle School in Cherry Hill, New Jersey to talk about the United States Military Academy, veterans’ contributions, and career opportunities in the military.

    • Active partnership with the “Making Visions Possible” (MVP) program housed at Willingboro High School; served as a facilitator for their annual fatherhood initiative.
       
    • Actively engaged in the Garfield East PTA. Donates school uniforms and snacks for students.
       
    • Dr. Worthy is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a charter member of the Tau Theta chapter at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY. In 2014, ATAP donated to the Tau Theta chapter to support activities for female cadets.
    • ATAP partnered with Hit the Deck Entertainment to conduct a fundraiser event in Virginia to increase breast cancer awareness and to support a breast cancer survivor with medical and household bills. She was an active community supporter and educator.

    • ATAP facilitated a full day workshop focusing on effective communication skills. The workshop was attended by leaders and managers responsible for managing the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) for the Mid-Atlantic region. All participants were female leaders; there was one male participant.
       
    • ATAP began mentoring young ladies in Willingboro seeking to advance their careers and to progress academically. ATAP hosted discussions focused on career development, the college application process, and made financial contributions to help advance their socio-economic conditions as they strive to advance academically.
       
    • Actively engaged in the Garfield East PTA. Donates school uniforms and snacks for students.
       
    • During the 2012-2013 school year ATAP assisted a kindergarten teacher in the classroom and enriched the educational experience for the students two days each month. This also provided additional role models in the classroom.

    • As an alumna of the United States Military Academy, Dr. Worthy is a member of West Point Women, a global network providing mentorship, education, and support to women graduates and cadets of the United States Military Academy.

    • ATAP leaders provided coaching, mentoring, and financial assistance to a youth track & field program  in a low income neighborhood of Suitland, Maryland. Together we produced nine female and two male Junior Olympic and NCAA National Champions from 2008-2013.

    • ATAP began in Maryland and serviced the Washington, DC metro area. Each year ATAP awards a $1000 scholarship to a young person from a low income family to offset the expenses of furthering their education beyond high school.
